Developers are zoning in on WEST END as property prices continue to boom. The vibrant atmosphere in WEST END continues to attract buyers. Such residential developments as Flow, Tempo, Koko, Leftbank, Waters Edge and Riverpoint are testament to the dramatic increase in new residential developments. With the announcement that a new City Cat Terminal is to be constructed at Victoria Street and the new City Glider bus service to commence in early 2010, transport infrastructure programs will ensure that the new population growth in WEST END will be well catered for.

"In the past 10 years, WEST END has developed into a lively area for nightlife. The main street precinct rejuvenation has attracted an array of multicultural restaurants and coffee houses. It is expected WEST END will see strong growth in median house prices as buyers continue to purchase property close to the city." One of the main attractions for the area is the WEST END markets, staged every Saturday morning. With most of the suburb within easy reach of the CBD there's a growing white-collar population. As old industrial land uses become unviable new apartments spring up at a rapid rate. Many front the river. All offer a type of dwelling largely unseen in the suburb until this decade. And while these apartment dwellers may sometimes dress differently to the students and artists, they often choose WEST END as their address for the very same reasons: The diversity, the cultural mix and the open minds.
